What you honour, you feed.
What you feed will grow in your life: right or wrong, good or bad. What we honour in life is significant, and there are consequences to what we remember, take lightly, or take seriously. The purpose of this book is to show God's principles to follow to attain a full, satisfying and significant life. God makes these principles clear in His Word, repeatedly instructing us to "choose" life or death, blessing or cursing...even going so far as to implore us to "choose life so that you and your descendants may live."
A good father will leave a legacy for his children, to the third and fourth generation. Life must be built, little by little, line upon line, with trust, patience, longsuffering, diligence and commitment. Shortcuts in life will be offered but we are not to be deceived by them. Shortcuts will end up leading us into a ditch! True honour goes to those of us who go above and beyond the call of duty. God desires our words to carry weight and be honorable. Proverbs 22:21 says "Choose a good reputation over great riches; being held in high esteem is better than silver or gold."
